Pizza, Pizza

Living in Brooklyn, NY and watching the streets get pelted with a snowstorm has me thinking about food, and specifically pizza.  I’ve had my share of great pizza in New York and my favorite places are John’s, on 44th streets and 8th avenue.  Their restaurant is located in this amazing building with a mural of New York City painted on its walls.  The pizza is excellent; it pretty much melts in your mouth.  The best pizza I have had in Brooklyn is La Sorrentina.  I am not a huge fan of their pies, they are a little greasy, but their slices are tremendous.  La Sorrentina is located on 11th avenue and 66th street in the Dyker Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.

I did a little research online to see what other people’s thoughts were about the best pizza in the New York area. I stumbled across a food blog by Jared Metz.  I wanted to find Pizza spots in Brooklyn.  Jared Metz mentioned a pizza place in Brooklyn called Di Fara Pizzeria.  Di Fara Pizzeria is located at 1424 Avenue J.  At some point, when it is nicer outside I’ll make the trip over there and check out their pizza.

I’m sure there are a dozen excellent pizza spots in New York, so whether you take my opinion or Jared Metz’s opinion on pizza, everyone enjoys a slice.
